Tv time meltdown

Just listened to my 5 year old stepson have a 5 star meltdown while I was finishing my shower. It consisted of him not being able to figure out how to turn the tv on and be able to watch it the second he got home because dad was taking the dog out.

In the maybe 4 minutes he was outside my stepson was so worked up from crying, throwing the remote and screaming his face was beat red and he could hardly breath.

All over him having to wait those 4 minutes. It wouldn't bother me so much if it was a once in a while thing but he's been getting in trouble at daycare a lot then he comes home at 4pm and doesn't leave the sofa expect for dinner and bathtime. My husband doesn't see a single problem in this! We have well over 1000$ worth of toys and activities for him to play with just downstairs.
