baby pooping once a day?

My baby is 2 weeks old. She is breastfed but supplemented with formula about 50/50 because I'm not making enough milk. She's only pooping once a day. It's usually a huge poop and yellow/mushy. She is gaining weight, pees A LOT and does pass gas. She is not fussy so I don't think she is constipated.

Anyone else have a similar situation?

Yes!! I am in the exact same boat as you, I swear I could have written your post!!
I used to be quite concerned with the lack of poop at first but I've had it checked and they told me if it's one big one then it's fine. And he doesn't seem constipated and is quite happy, so I have stopped worrying!

We can go a couple days without a poop here, but then it's a "poopocalypse" (as my 9 yo calls it) where even a diaper 2 sizes too big couldn't contain it!

Mine is the same, the doctor said that as long as the poop is soft he isn't constipated.

Babies can actually go about 3 days at times without pooping and be OK. As long as they're passing gas they're not constipated.
