Bleeding while pregnant?? Help

Okay so i am around 5-6 weeks, at 11 pm last night i went to go pee i wiped and their was light spotting, i wiped again and their was bright red blood, size of a dime, might i add i have no cramping or any uncomfortable pain. I talk to my sister and she said if i start bleeding more and start cramping we would go to the ER. I put on a pad, and went to bed. Well i woke up just now to go pee, it is about 2 am here looked at the pad, and their no blood, so i peed then i wiped and now went from bright red blood to like a old blood color, not even a lot. I am calling my doctor as soon as the office opens, is it possible i can be miscarrying? Or maybe their is hope i am not? Has anyone bled like this before? I just need some prayers, but i am prepared for the worst.
