My Crime Scene Period Scares the SH*T Out of Me

Jacquelyn
So, I'm seventeen and I began taking the pill, a week and a half ago. I don't take it by any means for a form of birth control, but to regulate my period.
I've had my period since I was 10 years old and it as always been super irregular! Some times it would last a month or I wouldn't even get it for months.
As soon as I took the pill, my cycle started and boy oh boy was that a sight!!!! Never had I seen so much blood!
However irregular it was, NEVER was my period heavy. Always light. Like SUPER light, to the point were sometimes all I need was panty liners. So now that I'm taking it, I find myself having to use the overnight period pads, during the day to keep from staining myself! Not only has my period become significantly HEAVIER, my cramps have become unbearable and I wake up feeling nauseous and have fatigue throughout the day?
Is this normal? Should I discontinue taking the pill?
