Take home outfit?

I know I've seen other threads on this but I'm having such a hard time deciding what to bring baby girl home in. It will be chilly here in November so it needs to be warm, and don't want to spend a ton of money. I love the gowns I've seen but those don't seem like a good idea for a car seat. Anyone else still up in the air on this?

I'm bringing baby girl home in a pink night gown and a hat. She will have a blanket on her in the car seat so i dont have to worry about her legs being cold once she is buckled up.

I just packed sleepers in a couple sizes. I figure that will be easier and would be better for the umbilical stump that having pants right on it.
