...I found the box

When we broke up, I took everything I had collected from 3yrs of our relationship and I put it all in this antique box thing figuring one day it wouldn't be so painful to look at. In this box there's jewelry, handwritten notes, pictures all sorts of things. For the last 3 years I have had no idea where I put this box, I hid it from myself. So I'm in the middle of moving and I go through my aunts storage building and I see this box and I'm like "ohhhh wonder what's in this?" And I opened it and I was like 😮 oooooooooh.  I was with my current boyfriend of 2 yrs at the time, I shut the box and put it in the trunk of my car... Now it's just sitting there and I have this extreme urge to go look through it, just because MEMORIES! Yano? It's not that i feel anything towards it its just fun to look back, I knew that I would like looking back when I was older but I feel like if I go get this box my boyfriends going to think I have some sort of feelings towards my ex which, I really promise I don't lol. Do you think I should go get the box? Edit: It's not that I want to keep going over memories of my ex, I'm so past that I barely remember what he looks like. I got this idea from my mom, I was angry and heart broken and at first I collected all of these things to burn them in my rage. My mom told me that I would regret that, she told me that even though it hurts now that it's a part of my life that I would love to look back on when I was older. I took her advice and hid the box from myself. She was right, it's not about my ex, it's about me. I hold no bitterness or heartache towards that break up, it's not going to bring anything back for me emotionally, I am also completely and indescribably Inlove with the person I'm with too, and if I was in his shoes id want to look in the box with him lol
