Currently in hospital

Got here at 8 p.m feeling excited and ready and nervous!

They started cervadil at 1030 p.m after checking cervix and seeing I was not dilated but 20% thinned. I was having some kn tense cramping/contractions. Felt like extreme period cramps.

Around 230 a.m I was checked again. I was 1 cm dilated and cervix was very soft.

About an hour later they gave me fentanyl because I can't relax during cervical exams and they needed to give me a balloon catheter to help dilate.

I think the Doctor said the balloon falls out around 3 cm dilated then we talk about the next steps.

I am contracting A LOT! It hurts and I'm tolerating it. Part of me feels like itll never end. Part of me keeps thinking my period cramps were almost this bad so I could do it!!

Baby is doing great. He's head down and heart rate is good.

Hoping they come in and ask me if I need more fentanyl. I really need to sleep but I can't seem to.

I know the pain will get worse and I'm so nervous. Trying to stay strong and positive. I'm not getting an epidural until around 6 cm dilated or I truly can't handle the pain.

Boyfriend and sister are over there on the couches sleeping so peacefully. Ugh. Lol
