Husband that does not wake up to alarm

Over the years that my husband & I have been together, we have slipped into this bad habit of him relying on me to get him out of bed. He is a very hard working man that sleeps very soundly. The alarm just doesn't wake him up. No negative comments about my husband please. Some of this is my fault because I would hit the snooze button out of annoyance after the alarm goes off for a couple of minutes.

We will have a new baby in our house in about 10 weeks & I know that he needs to be able to get out of bed on his own because I may not be able to be there to help him.

Any advice on how to improve this situation?
