Homecoming alone

I guess I just kind of want to rant a little since I don't know what else to do lol.. So I thought I was going to homecoming with my friend and all of the sudden she says she wants me to make my own friends. If she wants me to buzz off I totally get it, but she herself asked if I wanted to go wjth her and so I don't know what to do. My mom spent so much money on a dress for me and I even bought heels for the first time ever and now I feel so dumb!!!! I don't want to go at all I am terrified and I am just sitting on the couch crying because I know I'm going to go and have a terrible time. I don't know what to do!!! All of my friends are the ones who don't go to dances so she is the only one I know... I don't know I will try my best I guess? It's just one night I don't have to do it ever again. Is there any advice for doing homecoming alone?
