Unemotional 😒

Ok ladies, my SO is a very nice guy and will give me anything I need but most of the time if I ask... How do I bring up in a nice way that I would like for him to do things for me without me asking and to be more caring to my feelings. I have a temper and so does he, the last thing on my mind is to start an argument. I really don't care about him buying me things moreover I just want him to be more emotional and he's not. It's so annoying. I. Starting to think he's an ass who can't be changed. But I'm not willing to give up yet bc love is one hell of a drug. How have yall dealt with unemotional men?
