Accused of spoiling

First time mom and my son is 7 weeks.  My SO has been accusing me of spoiling our baby since he was 2 weeks. Claiming I'm holding him too much and picking him up when he crys all the time etc. He also claims we need to get him to sleep thru the night. Which I have agreed to start a schedule soon. I am with him most of the day and he has begun to prefer me over SO (which I think he is jealous about). I have tried to give SO hints on how to soothe my son but he sees it as me being critical.
