Owlet? Yay or Nay?

I've been seeing ads on Facebook for the Owlet sock. Has anyone used them? What is your feedback on it?

Actually just received our owlet in the mail the other day. Decided to go for it since the positive reviews far outweighed the bad. And they do a payment plan so don't have to pay upfront since it's pretty pricey

Big fat huge yay!!!!!!! I have a 7 month old and we have used it every night since she came home from the hospital. My hubby was totally against it because of the price but I sweet talked him into it and just yesterday we were talking about how glad we are that we invested in one. He was telling our friends he was glad we have it because newborns make some funky noises while sleeping and our daughter even made gasping noises (sounded horrible I even recorded them and had the dr listen to make sure they were normal) and I was paranoid she wasn't breathing but because she had an owlet on I was able to check my phone and see her oxygen levels. It really does give peace of mind. The only thing I don't like is the range from the base station to the sock isn't very long. It hasn't been an issue yet because she sleeps in our room but once she is in her bedroom on the other side of the house we won't be to keep the base station in our room. So we will have to find a place in between her room and our room that we can still hear it if it goes off.

Another option is an angel care monitor w motion sensor pad under the crib. It can tell if baby is breathing by the slight motion and will alarm if goes longer than 15 seconds. I love mine!!! Got it as a hand me down from a friend, I slept so much better.

I haven't used one, as I don't yet have a baby to put one on hah. But I've been reading about them and the annoying things is they seem to give a lot of false alarms so you get up panicked something is wrong but it's fine. I read one person saying up to 3 false alarms a night. I'd be pissed. There a baby monitors that go under the mattress and alarm after 20 seconds of absolutely no movement. I'm looking into those now.
