My husbands is offered thru his work. I believe it's something that some companies offer and others do not.

I believe he just goes to the EDD web site and applies. Or if you have a local office go there. He will get 6 weeks paid leave (not as much as he usually makes) I don't think his job has to hold his position for him, so he may want to talk to them also.
