Parents going through your belongings...

Hey ladies!!

So, I'm 23 years old and I am very messy. I couldn't find my car keys so I took my moms car for the day. When I arrived home my dad had found my keys and my parents cleaned my entire car out. Being of legal age, I had a 6 pack of beer, a bottle of wine, and an empty pack of cigs in there. Now.... My parents think they're helping me by doing this... They always have and they absolutely cannot wrap their heads around the fact that as a 23 year old, that is SUCH a violation of privacy. I literally feel so so violated. I hate that feeling.

My question is, would you feel the same way? Am I being unreasonable here? They know how I feel about it and did it anyway. How do I even handle this situation?
