2 month old only eating every 4 hours?
Looking for advice -
My LO is just over 8 weeks and is exclusively breastfed with one bottle of expressed milk before bed.
I usually kept her on a pretty strict 3 hour nursing schedule, but was having some trouble with her getting fussy while nursing. I started spacing out her feeds to every 3.5 to 4 hours and she seems much happier. But is this enough for an 8 week old?
She is sleeping like a CHAMP too. We give her one 5 oz bottle before bed (which seems big! but she drinks the whole thing) The bottle happens between 9:00 and 10:30 with her asleep around 11pm and then she sleeps until 7:30 am!
I am not complaining AT ALL. This all seems amazing to me for a baby who is just shy of 2 months. But should I be making her eat more often? She is happy, healthy, and gaining. 99% for height and high 50's for weight.
I obviously don't know how much she is getting when I nurse, but when pumping I get about 5 oz out of each breast in about 10 minutes, which is about how long she spends on each side.
