question about choosing a name.

So we have the name narrowed down to two that we like. One would make my SO much more happy than the other, but it's not my favorite name. With his first daughter, he had NO say in her name at all. My question is, should I choose the name he likes more because that's what he has always wanted? Or do I choose the other name that still has some of that same meaning to him but is more of a collaboration from the two of us? He says he would be happy with either name.
