Would i be allowed to give birth at home ? This is my first pregnancy would prefer to as i get stressed 😩 wasnt sure if i could

Get a doula and midwife. Unassisted child birth is scary and tbh I'd hate to be put in a position where something happened to my baby because I tried to do it by myself.  I was thinking about doing a home birth also but didn't because of the costs.

You will first have to look up midwife and home delivery laws on your state, some states don't allow it at all. Then look up what your insurance covers, most don't cover home births but some will cover your midwife costs. Then look into home delivery midwives in your area, make some calls and figure out pricing. I wanted to deliver at home but it's an investment of at least $4,000 for anyone in my area and I just can't afford that. I am however delivering with a midwife in a hospital and plan to deliver as natural as possible. Just do a lot of research!! Home birth is a great route. Good luck!

Hi, yes you can birth at home and per the other comments, just double check your state laws and what that looks like for you and where you live. For me in it's going to cost $3300 to have an at home midwife. After going through my traumatic birth experience with my first at the hospital, I feel the expensive cost is worth every penny for the opportunity to stay at home. Of course if something happens we live near hospital but it will not be my first choice.
