Polycystic Ovaries...????

My husband and I have been TTC for over 7 months with no luck. So...today we went to see a specialist. Glow had been telling me I was Ovulating for 2 days. But when I get to the Dr I am no where near it. I had even taken ovulation test that had said I was.

Come to find out I have a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and I am also insulin resistant....pretty much I drop an egg every month (maybe) and it never developes. And being insulin resistant means my body attacks the eggs?? Instead of 10 eggs in each ovary I have 30!

I always knew something was wrong I felt in my bones. I had always had issues with weight and this explains why....always had issues with periods when I was younger and this explains that. 
Even tho I always knew this is so difficult to hear...and it happens to 1 out of 10 women....can't stop crying....

Anyway....anyone else had this issues???

Sorry about youe diagnosis. It can be tough. This is my 10 week old daughter. So cute! I have PCOS, hypothyroid, and I am insulin resistant/pre-diabetes. I had several miscarriages a few years ago and stopped TTC. then, we had a surprise pregnancy in November. Because of the miscarriages I called my doc and begged for progesterone for the first trimester. We made it through, and now have a beautiful, rainbow baby. Good luck!

I was diagnosed with PCOS 7 years ago. Never tried to get pregnant. Was always safe. I have been taking evening primrose oil tablets for the past 3 years and it has helped to regulate my period. I work out 4 times a week. My doctor mentioned when I was ready to conceive I would probably need clomid. Without any planning, I got pregnant and I'm now almost 38 weeks. No meds. No clomid. You will get through this. Stay strong.

Hi! I understand where you're coming from. I was diagnosed with PCOS a 1 1/2 years ago. It's frustrating when you want your body to do something and it kinda does something completely opposite. My husband and I have been trying for 2 years. I've been on clomid, letrozole, meformin, and I just had a HSG done today. If you need anyone to talk to, Glow is the most supportive community.
