If you've ever used Femara-Please advise!

I have been waiting for my next cycle to start so I can take my first round of Femara. This cycle has been a lot longer than normal (on day 41) so I called my doctor's office to explain the situation and ask if they wanted to prescribe me Provera to make my period start, or just keep waiting. The nurse (who clearly didn't listen to my message) called me back to say that my doctor wasn't there and another doctor (who knows nothing about my story) said to start taking the medication. When I asked her what "the medication" was, she stumbled all over her words and finally decided that it was the Femara I'm supposed to start taking right away.
