As laney said, you must at least vaccinate for rabies in most (if not all) states. Idk if they do the others. I'm not stupid enough to not vaccinate so I can't speak for them.

My in-laws have explained to me all about the dangers of vaccines (my son from a previous marriage is fully vaccinated, as was my husband because his dad was in the military), and how they're poison used by the government. After this informative chat I asked if they vaccinated their dogs, and was told of course they do. They don't want them to get sick. Then I ran out of evens, and had to stop that chat before my head exploded.

All of these yes, of course, duh comments make me laugh - it's that easy to decide that for your pet? But yet a tiny human that you created can't get an easy cut and dry decision? 
There's no question for me - I will and have always vaccinated my children. (And pets too of course 😂)

Depends on where they live. In my city all cats and dogs have to be licensed, and to get the license you have to take them to get their yearly vaccinations. It costs $50 to license an unaltered (not spayed/neutered) pet, only $8 to license an altered pet. So I support it since I'm sure it cuts down on unwanted litters and strays

I'm pretty sure most places have rules saying your dog or cat must have a rabies shot or they're getting taken away.

I get my dog the rabies shot and that's it. My cats don't get vaccinated.

Of course I vaccinate my animals. In my state if you don't get your dog a rabies shot & it bites or scratches someone  (& they file a complaint) then animal control is called. They pick up your dog, chop it's head off & send it to the capital for testing to prove it DOESN'T have rabies. 
So YES. We most certainly keep our animals vaccinated. We also get them their parvo/distemper as well. We have pits & they're especially susceptible to Parvo. Plus our surrounding counties (including our own) have had problems w/ parvo in the past. Even a scare w/ rabies in the shelter a while back!

I know for sure the rabies vaccine is needed but I don't think it's mandatory here. My husbands parents didn't vaccinate their dogs for rabies and then they ended up killing a skunk with rabies and they had to be quarantined in the animal hospital for three months. It was insane but luckily they didn't get sick. Needless to say, after that little incident they vaccinated them.
