Ebf newborn keeps spitting up quite a bit?!

My daughter is 2 weeks old and the last couple of days she has been spitting up quite a bit after feeds she kicks her legs out and keeps moaning most of the time to. She is putting weight on fine. Could it just be wind? Or something else x

Spitting up is totally normal! But my little guy did it a lot (after almost every feed) so we went to a lactation consultant. She made three suggestions, and he has hardly spit up since (we visited when he was 7 or 8 weeks, he'll be a year next month:

The number one suggestion that I saw an immediate result in was not patting my boy's back to burp him. Instead, I held him upright and rubbed his back. 60% of the time he burped.

We also tried to keep him as upright as possible for 10-15 min after feeding.

Feeding him on more of an incline (instead of directly cross-cradle) helped as well.

Remember, these suggestions worked for us, but our guy was older. You may have to wait a few more weeks to try some of these. Also, at 2 weeks their tummies are still developing, and spitting up is a normal side effect of that.

My LO was the same way at that age and still spits up a decent amount at 13 weeks old. Our pediatrician told us that as long as she is gaining weight then it is totally fine.
