Third baby. Last baby. Baby shower?

Hi ladies.

I am having my third and final baby. This baby was a surprise. As I have a son and a daughter and was done with having kids. I got rid of everything. I have now bought all the big stuff like crib swing change table stroller and car seat. Ext. I was wondering if you ladies though it would be silly to have a diaper party slash baby shower for my third. My one friend said that I should only get one shower. I feel every baby should be celebrated. What are everyone's thoughts.

I'm having my third baby and I will be having my third baby shower. I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm celebrating my baby and pregnancy. I end up spending more on catering and the party expenses than I would receive in gifts anyways. I just like everyone gathered to celebrate baby 💕

I'm in the same boat as you. Third baby... and I don't have a THING! And we are having a co-ed baby shower where my friends and family can bring kids. Nothing fancy... just a get to together. No lame games, and I'm refusing to sit there for an hour opening up gifts in front of people. Have a baby shower! Anything helps!

I've heard that traditionally it's just your first but that's traditional. You have to do something that's right for you, your family, and friends. If it were me in your shoes I'd do something fun, less shower more celebration. Like a Baby BBQ with guys and girls. Depending on where you live it could be really really fun to have yard games, co-ed, bbq and beer etc. Any presents you could save and open later in private. Then you get to celebrate and it takes off all the pressure from your guests to feel obligated to buy presents. The ones that can always will. The ones who can't always give, usually give more of themselves. Late night sounding board, or willing to watch the kids so you can go to the library for an hour drinking a fancy latte.

This was our second daughter but, we got rid of everything. So we did a small baby shower this past Saturday. All the big times we've purchased ourselves.

I say go for it..if it were me I would make it casual (: a life is a celebration! Silly when people say you should only get one shower. 
Or maybe do a mommy shower! I don't even know if that's a thing. But like a spa day and shower the mommy to be with gifts 😁 or something. Lol

In my circle of friends the first baby is a big shower and the second is a sip and see. The third baby was a simple gathering after. I know from planning baby showers they cost a lot and wouldn't want my friends or family doing three of them.

I'd say it depends. People usually have one shower and then have smaller celebrations without an actual registry. It is tradition not to hit your friends up for big gifts during each pregnancy. If you want to celebrate each baby that's fine and it should be a cause for celebration with family and friends. But you did mention you threw away stuff and now need to stock up so it sounds like you really need a shower because you need gifts. If you don't mind putting people on the spot, make a shower. No one knows your family and friends better than you do.

If you want to have a shower then you should do it! I agree every baby should be celebrated. I'm on my 2nd and we are doing a gender reveal instead. I've also been to a couple sprinkles, and I'm helping plan my cousin's 2nd baby shower. Everyone's different so you should just celebrate the way that you want to.
