I honestly think it's up to the mom, I personally would stop after they grow some teeth hahahaha, I refuse to get my nipples bitten!

I think it's weird cause they're starting school so they're supposed to begin the first step of independence, be obedient without mom or dad at their side and make friends on their own. It also seems old to be drinking from a bottle. Their potty trained and in school and learning social skills, but they can't drink from a cup or lay off moms boob, I don't think it's right, they need to start being their own people at that point.

It's up to the nursing dyad. We've been nursing for 16 months and it works for us.

The world health organization recommends two years of available breast milk, and I won't cut off my son until then. If he self weans before then I won't stop him. I don't know if I will stop him at two years. Maybe I will, maybe I won't, I'm not going to make a decision until I feel like it.
