So my mom called last night and told me she had talked with my MIL the other day. She said my MIL mentioned that my husband says he doesn't like me working. Ok but why would I end a career when I put food on the table for her son, put money toward our mortgage, have great insurance AND don't have any children (we are trying desperately but are having troubles and are requiring specialist intervention). I don't even know if I would quit when I have children. Nothing against SAHMs but I tried for a summer not working (I'm a teacher) and lasted a month. I can't handle not contributing and feeling like I could put us in the red with our expenses. I hate that I am not respected for being a career woman.
