As a dad who loves metal, would you continue your style while raising you child or give it up?

Question

I was raised on heavy metal and classic rock. My parents have since gone soft. I am still pierced (ears) and tattooed, as is my wife. So how many of you have body mods/lifestyles that you dont want to change? How many of you feel the need to go slacks and sweater vest to "fit the look" of parents?

My dad never fit the normal "dad" mold. The only thing it made difficult was buying gifts since ties and world's best dad mugs weren't really his style lol but my dad is my best friend and I wouldn't change anything about him! :)

Nope. My dad was tattooed. He rode motorcycles, he was a grease monkey, he drank, he smoked, he had huge bon fires and loved camping and fishing and we were raised on all of it. My first ride on a motorcycle I was to young to remember but I've got pictures. I was still in diapers and was happy as could be on that bike with my dad. Thanks to my dad I know how to fix my own cars, I love camping and fishing and nature. I can't ride anything with two wheels and motor, but I still enjoy riding on the back of one. Me and my fiancé are tatted and I'm pierced and don't plan on changing the way I dress or the music I listen to or my lifestyle because I have kids. No me and my fiancé don't plan on drinking as much as our parents did and we are a lot safer with our kids around and on motorized anything. But my kids will be raised in the same fun loving environment we were and I'm more than happy with that.

I will always be one of the weird moms (when ever I have my daughter) I have 19 tattoos and 20 piercings and not all are normal ear piercings. I will always be me, I will wear my band shirts, my flannels what ever I want. If I get the ok to do some fun colors with my hair hell yes I'll go with what ever color I want, my favorite hair color for me is blue/aqua, but ive been every color under the sun. I've always been the odd looking one even in my family, my neices and nephews clearly they don't care about how their crazy aunt looks. Just imagine if I still was goth like I was in high school, I'd still rock it as a mom and aunt.

Why should you have to give up the type of music you listen to just because you have a baby? If its inappropriate for the baby, just throw on your headphones.
