Crunchy Mom Post Baby Shower... Now What?

I am so unbelievably thankful for all the baby showers I had. I am so blessed. My best friend, church small group, and mother-in-law all through me one. But... I don't know what to do with some of the stuff.

I'm an all natural sort of person. I don't use paper towels or plates. I'm all into reusable items. So I've purchased using cloth diaper and wipes. But I got disposable diapers and wipes and some products that I don't really want to use at the showers. But I don't want to waste them. The idea of throwing them out makes me ill.

So now what?

You can donate them! There are probably shelters or an infant crisis center in your area that would be thrilled to have anything you choose not to use. Some things you might be able to return or exchange for something you will use, so that's an option as well. You are being very gracious and humble by being thankful for what you've been given. 😊

I know a lot of moms use disposables when they first have their newborns because the cloth diapers don't fit yet, so it's a little easier. You could also look into donating the things you don't use to women's shelters or hospitals. They certainly could use all the help they could get, and then you wouldn't be tossing them out but helping others who are in need! :) congrats to you, btw!

Donate your unwanted items to a local shelter or hospitals. That way the items aren't wasted and are being put to good use. That's the best option in my opinion.

You could try and return or exchange them. Or donate them to those in need who don't really have the luxury of choosing disposable or reusable. Where I live we have a Facebook page for yardsale items and stuff like that, and people post baby things on there all the time that they won't use or that their baby has outgrown. You could even make a post saying that you have some things for mothers in need. Good luck! 😊

You can take them back, usually Walmart will take back diapers and etc if they carry the brand. Other things you can donate or regift later on to another mom.

Return them and get things more suitable for you but if you plan on putting your child in daycare just remember some places dont do cloth so you might need those disposable diapers and wipes
