big baby??

I went to my 29 week doctor appointment today and took my gestational diabetes test...which came back normal..when I met with the doctor he said that I was measuring wayyyy too big for how far along I am..so at the next dr appointment if I'm still measuring too big he is going to order an ultrasound..just curious if anyone else has also had this happen? Did you end up having to have a c section?

I’m in the same boat. 32 weeks, but measuring 34-35 weeks. Baby’s head is like 86 percentile and he’s already almost 5lbs 😳. I’m in disbelief because my first was so tiny. Sadly, despite her size, my hips were too narrow and I had to have an emergency c-section so there’s no way I’m having a vbac this time. Another c-section it is for me.

It's possible your baby just hit its growth spurt really soon. Completely normal for that to happen. My best friends baby didn't hit his growth spurt until she was 30 weeks. At 24 weeks, he was measuring 12 weeks. You may have an early bloomer😉😘

I wouldn't worry too much at 29 weeks. May slow down. If at 36 weeks he/she is still measuring large they offer you a c section. I know women who have vag delivered large babies!!
