No heartbeat at 10 weeks.?!

I went in for my second appointment yesterday (which I felt was a waste). They took my urine, weight & blood pressure. Said everything was good. My doctor then tries to hear the baby's heartbeat using the Doppler. She tried for what felt like forever but still no heartbeat. It didn't seem to bother her as she was like " we'll try again in 4 weeks it maybe too soon" & that she doesn't usually do ultrasounds until around 18-20 weeks... I'm freaking out bc I just paid for a private ultrasound at 8 weeks which I seen & heard my baby's heartbeat so hearing nothing at all 2 weeks later makes me so nervous 😩. Is  is normal to NOT hear the heartbeat at 10 weeks with a Doppler ? Or should I be really concerned

I didn't hear the heartbeat thru doppler until around 13 weeks and my doctor said she was actually surprised she found it so early.  It's typically a few weeks more before they can find it good using the doppler. If you have no bleeding, no severe cramping, your baby is probably doing very well in there. I'm 22 weeks with my 4th baby.

Yes it is normal to not hear it with a doppler at that stage. My doctor didn't start using the doppler until after 12 weeks.

Maybe the technician wasn't good. I heard the heart at 8 weeks. I went back for my 12 week apoitment and the technician was visible nervous because my baby wasn't moving at all. After 10 min trying she went to look for help. I was freaking out. The second technician was able to make my baby move and see the heart.

No heartbeat at 10 weeks.?!
