Birth Control Still Work?

Aghhhh, so I took my last day sugar pills on Sunday, then realized I didn't have the next pack on Monday. I lost my virginity on Monday and he used a condom, and it didn't looked like it leaked but idk for sure. Would I still have been protected on Monday??? I wasn't able to pick up my new pack until today, so I'm completely restarting tomorrow. We will continue to use condoms either way but I'm really really really scared of getting pregnant. How long until I'm fully protected by my birth control again? I read the packet and I didn't see where it said how long until you were covered. I just want to make sure we're extra safe until my birth control is on track again, and how big of a chance I could have gotten pregnant on Monday?
