What's the worst pregnancy/post birth advice you've gotten?

Mine was given to me by my Great Aunt,

"Don't eat any corn, it doesn't get digested so it could clog the ambilical cord,"

I think "don't raise your arms above your head" was the dumbest one. It actually made me concerned when I was pregnant with my first born then.

I also hate "sleep when baby sleeps" because although in theory it's a great idea, it's also seldom possible, especially when you have multiple kids.

I lived in Huntsville, AL during my pregnancy with my oldest son. I was a childcare teacher in a center that was only women (all of whom had their own children), as I am working on my bulletin board (standing on a child sized chair, an older teacher starts to freak out and say "Put your arms down! If you have your arms over your head the babys cord will wrap around their neck!" Talk abt freaking me out! But i was abt 7.5 months preggo and i had already had my arms above my head alot working on our house at the time, and had already had ultrasounds no e of which showed any such thing. Old wives tales can get you man...
