Carpal tunnel syndrome!

Anyone have this only while pregnant?

About 13 weeks along i started having numbness in my hands or only one hand. It got worse and went up both arms and is mainly.my thumb and last 3 fingers. Im 16 weeks and its killing me. I cant sleep and i find myself shaking my arms and hands trying to "wake" them up. There is a constant pain and i can barely use my hands.in the morning. Its worse when i lay down or sit. Is there anything besides drinking more water less salt intake that can help? My ob just says its a pregnancy thing and wasnt concerned! I dont think i can go amother 5 months with this !
