Which brand of birth control pill?

Soon I would like to start the pill because I am getting married in 6 months and I would like to find one that works for me before then.  I took the pill when I was 16 because I was having problems with my period.  But it totally screwed me up.  I went from having nothing to having my period for almost 2 weeks....

I can't use any brand of the pill because I tried so many & the all screwed up my period. My dr says it is because the pills contain multiple hormones. I have an IUD now & it is fantastic!

Microgestin worked for me, but you should talk to your doctor. If you've had a bad experience with certain brands they can help suggest ones that aren't too similar and hopefully you'll have a better experience with those. It'll take a bit of trial and error to find a BC that works for you. But it's usually best to give it 3 months if the side effects aren't severe before assuming it doesn't work for you. Good luck!

I recommend Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. Stay away from Chateal. At least, that's my experience. Good luck and congratulations!!
