Can you pack your hospital bag during labor?

I'm planning to have some things packed, like an outfit and other things for baby, but I'm stressing out about only being partially packed and having to pack toiletries and other things (charger, tablet, clothes) right before leaving. Did anyone wait until labor to start packing?

Make a list for those last minute items and put it on top of your bag so that you can remember everything

I did. You can't pack everything. Especially stuff you use every day.

I'm planning on packing mine at 30 weeks just to get it done. I don't see any reason to wait till your having contractions too! There's also a check list here on glow that I found yesterday when you click on the "genius" button that I'm planning on using as a check list!

Thank you everyone! I think what I'll do is pack what I can and make a list of things to grab. That way we can grab them before heading to the hospital or worst case, my husband can go home and grab everything. :)

33 weeks almost. I have baby's clothes packed, though still need a couple more things for baby in there. I have at least 2 outfits for me. My new jammies arrived and are washed and will be added today along with some more yoga pants. I have my toiletries (travel size) packed. I am about to pack my makeup kit (I have ALOT of extras thanks to my work!). I can go anytime the week of Thanksgiving, so I am trying to be ready for that.

We packed a lot while I was in labor mainly because I went into labor at 36 weeks , it sucked lol I was contracting so bad I could barely find any of my stuff!

You can but you might forget something. I stressed about the toiletries too so I bought a bunch of cheap travel sized things. Only things I'll have to remember on the way out is laptop, chargers, and my husbands pillow

When I went into labor with my son, based on my symptoms (my water broke but I wasn't feeling any contractions yet) my doctor told me to try and get to the hospital within the hour. Soooo, I took a shower, shaved my legs, etc. because I didn't know when I'd next get a chance to do any of those things! It was 5:00 in the morning! So there's a chance you will have time to prepare the day of but it doesn't hurt to be prepared just in case! My bag was ready to go, so I was glad to have the time to get myself cleaned up and ready to roll!
