Which way do you lean?

Question

Without taking any of the political candidates into consideration, do you feel like you tend to lean more to the left/liberal or the right/conservative? Which side do your personal views tend to align with? 
And do you have personal views that do NOT align with the party you identify with?
*I know plenty of people have more central views, but I've noticed that even those people still tend to lean more one way or the other, which is why I didn't make it a poll option.

This app is such a melting pot full of women from different backgrounds, I'm very curious to see the poll results!

Just gotta mention that liberal and conservative are on their own spectrum separate from Democrat and Republican. You can be a conservative Democrat or a liberal Republican. Liberal does not equal Democrat and conservative does not equal Republican.

Well this is a loaded question! I'm very left-leaning on social issues, but I'm all for gun rights and share some economic views with the right. Overall, definitely a liberal. Not to mention that "center" has moved pretty far to the right in the last decade or two; the far right is way too far and way too populous for comfort haha

These are such bad labels. The point of being left wing is to be liberal, the more left wing you are, the Jess liberal you are. Being conservative only means being right wing if your predecessors were. Republican merely means opposing a monarchy. It just makes you wonder at how things have change from when these parties were named to now.

I'll start off the comments! I have always identified as Conservative- that's the way I was raised and what I was exposed to. As time has passed, I feel that I've grown as a person and as a result my views have changed slightly. I still identify primarily as a Conservative (I'm pro-life, pro-gun, etc) but I also completely support the gay community. I never really believed in the condemning of the LGBT community anyway, but once I discovered and got to know my long lost older brother, who happens to be a gay man, it solidified my belief in gay rights.

I've definitely always been conservative in nearly every way. I don't necessarily agree with every fiscal policy that the republicans have but I take it case by case and morals are more important to me than money, although I know morals affect money quite often. I'm very much pro-life, pro-guns, etc.
