Flu shot concerns?

I've gotten all of my shots but the flu shot so far. I haven't had one, nor the flu in years.. but does the flu shot help my baby have immunity to it for the season when she's born? I just wanna know if it's worth it!

She won't have immunity, as no one is immune to the flu, but she'll have antibodies from you to help fight it off.

I've been very anti vaccines and very cautious! Done a lot of research. Never had flu shot or gotten the flu. Never know what's actually in the shot. But my midwife, nurses and my mom and research shows and says to GET it which I did- I did it ONLY for him, my baby boy!! It helps give some immunity to baby, and if someone has the flu and he catches it he could die! So because of the severity of what could happen...I chose to get it and I'm glad I did.

Ive never had the flu shot nor will i be getting it. They said something about giving it to me at 36 weeks but honestly you never know how you or your baby will react to it. Especially if you have never gotten it, like me.

The CDC actually recommends you get the flu shot. Please talk to your own doctor, and see what they say.  You'll get lots of contradicting advice on this app, because everyone has their own views, and stand points. 
I personally received my flu shot tjis month, but I get it every October no matter what, and have had it with all 3 of my pregnancies.

I got my flu shot.   I'm required by my job to have it by Dec or face losing my job.     I also got it because I'm preg.  Anything I can do to help my little guys antibodies I'm all for.

I wasn't sure myself and plan on doing selective vaccinating on our child. I don't get the flu however having a December baby and knowing that it would prevent the baby from catching the most popular strands. I was pretty confused. 
There is a thimerosal free flu shot. That's what I got from my specialist. Shots just like other medications are next tested on pregnant women.  That's why they all say talk with your physician if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Basically its for both of you - if you get the flu this year, whilst pregnant, the dehydration, high temperature, etc - could put you and baby at risk.

I got the real flu for the first time last year and it was awful - i have never felt so bad - and I wouldnt wish the flu on a pregnant woman in a million years!

If I didn't have to bc of work I probably wouldn't. But I'm a nurse in the ICU and many people I treat, especially this time of year, are people with severe infections with pneumonia and flu and other respiratory viruses. Otherwise if it were optional and I was any other mom, i would probably decline it.
