anyone have anthem blue cross blue shield and get free breast pump?

Question

Hey everyone. So I was just wondering if anyone has anthem BCBS and got a free breast pump. If so, was it any good? Was it worth the hassle? How did you go about getting it?

I'm only 16 weeks but I'm just trying to give myself time for everything and find stuff out now.

I have BCBS and they covered my Medela advanced in style 100%. FTM and I haven't used it yet but I have heard great reviews. I had a list to choose from provided by my insurance. I would call my insurance and ask them what I needed to do in order to start the process. I had mine within a week of ordering it. Good luck!

I got a mendela instyle. After I gave birth the hospital did all the paperwork and it was shipped to my house 2 days later.

I don't have blue Cross but I'd thought I'd share. I'm supposed to be recieving my new breath pump Tuesday. I was looking at the tracking and they have the wrong address. I'm stressing out cause I don't know how to change it.

Yep. I gor the spectra s1 hospital grade. Haven't used it yet but all I had to do was call and give them my doctors name and number. They called and I had my pump the next day! Was not expecting it that quickly. Only thing I had to do was sign the paper that came with the pump and then send it back in.

I called and asked and the rep said they will cover any pump you want.  You just have to have your Dr. Write a prescription for the kind you want and take it to one of their DME providers.  She told me to call back when my due date got closer and she would give me a list of where I could take it.  I would call and ask because all plans vary, but I hope they cover one for you!
