travel at 30 weeks???

Question

I'm currently only 17 weeks but my family (who lives 11 hours away) would like a visit for a baby shower. I'm considering going by car.

Can anyone tell me if I'll be too far along for this to be a good idea?
Assuming all is still going well... Would it still be too uncomfortable?

I went to a funeral 8 hours away at 36-37 weeks. It was uncomfortable and not a choice I wanted to make. I took my medical records and our hospital stuff with us.

I flew from Texas to mass at 32 weeks and then back at 33 weeks. It was fine but I didn't ask for permission. I flew at 34-36 weeks for my first. I would check with the doctor first but I didn't because I knew I was going regardless of what they said. I was healthy and symptom free throughout both pregancies.

My doctor wouldn't have allowed it, long trips by car or plane were stopped at 28weeks.
