✨Self Esteem✨

I struggled with self esteem as a pre-teen/teen. My hair was thick and damaged so I had it cut into a short Afro. I had thick eyebrows/unibrow(my mom would not let me wax them being young). I was very curvy so I was always objectified by my peers. As a woman I have more confidence now but I still struggle with seeing myself as beautiful. I remember the hurtful things people once said so now it's hard for me to truly receive compliments. Now I have long hair, mostly tamed brows and I love my figure. I love myself with or without makeup and filters and unfiltered. I really just have a hard time with compliments. Has anyone went through this? How do you believe people?
