Do essential oils work for an ear infection? I really don't want antibiotics AGAIN! :(

Any of you veteran mamas know if an essential oils will help with an ear ache? I have no idea if it's an ear infection or not. Thanks ladies. I'm just a worried preggo who just doesn't want antibiotics if I can help it.

Oh please don't do that. As a student of medicine I beg you not to do that. Ride it out or get the drugs. I understand your hesitation with abx, but I've seen so many ear infections go from moderate to bloody due to essential oil or "naturopathic" remedies. Just don't.

You should have it checked but my ENT told me I can use medical grade olive oil ear drops for an outer ear infection.

Their are antibiotics safe for pregnancy. If you don't want it to get worse you need to take care of it. If it were a virus then probably but seeing as it's not it won't get better.
