Hi everyone. I unfortunately had a miscarriage and just had a d&e done a week and 4 days ago. I know I should have waited two weeks to have sex with my husband but tonight one thing lead to another and we ended up having sex. I don't have any cramping or spotting but can anything go wrong because I didn't wait the two weeks?

There is a higher risk of infection, that's why they tell you to wait, so that your cervix can close. I had sex a week after my D&C, I hadn't bled in a couple days, I was totally fine

The risk for infection is higher and your fertile so there's a good chance you'll be pregnant again if you didn't use protection. I miscarried on the August 13th and got a positive pregnancy test on September 7th. Just letting you know so if your not trying to be careful

My first D&C, I was told to wait two weeks. With my most recent D&C, my RE told me I could have sex after the bleeding stopped. It depends how much they had to dilate you. How far along were you? How big was your baby measuring?
