IUD help!

Bella
I don't do well with heavy hormones (like depo or the usual BC pills), I'm allergic to the ring, so I looked into getting the IUD. I got the paragard and loved it but after a year it fell out. So I got the Mirena in and it worked wonders for 3 years. Unfortunately, I had to have it removed when I had surgery to remove an ovarian tumor. Now a year later I went with my DH to get the Mirena put back in and it wouldn't. Doctor tried several times (and since I'm nulliparous), but eventually she gave up because she couldn't get it to stay inside of my uterus. She blames my lack of children, my tilted uterus, and low cervix. My question is, how did my previous doctor get it in then??? She unfortunately is unavailable now. Has any one else had Mirena/IUD reinsertion issues??? I walked
out almost limping from the pain of the cramps, miserable, and without an IUD! Please help! I live in the Atlanta area in case anyone has any good referrals. Thank you very much.
