Foods to eat after wisdom tooth removed.?

Question

I had my wisdom tooth removed on Friday . What all did you eat for the first 3 days && for the next 1-2 weeks?when can i start eating what im use to eating ? To those of you that have had a tooth extraction.!

(I know you should be aleating soft foods.)

I only had my top two out... but I ate Mac and cheese an hour after I was home. Stick to soft foods until you get your stitches out. I pretty much lived on Mac and cheese, apple sauce, and pudding for the first week. Once my stitches were out I ate like I normally would. Good luck!

My husband just got his out a few weeks ago. The first few days he ate a lot of cold, soft foods. Applesauce, yogurt, smoothies,etc. I also made soup and rice and mashed potatoes. After a few days it was comfortable for him to eat normal foods again with smaller bites. But he did stay away from crunchy foods like chips and crackers for a week or two.

Avoid really sugary things they will worsen any swelling and for the love of god and not looking like a chipmunk don't eat a jar of minny marshmallows on your own. Learned that the hard way.

When I got mine out I couldn't handle anything that I had to chew because I could barely open my mouth. I ended up making lots of smoothies (banana, spinach, frozen berries, almond milk), chocolate avocado pudding, and chicken/beef broth.

It took me at least 4 days to "graduate" to scrambled eggs and mashed carrots..

After that I could eat most things as long as they were cut into really small pieces so I didn't have to chew too much.

When I had all my teeth pulled ,they cut each one out .I had pudding and yogurt then day 2 I had rice and chicken. Just cut really small .

I had my taken out 2 weeks ago. I ate mashed potatoes, pudding, and jello the day after.. the 3rd day I could eat Macoroni and cheese and eggs. I ate lots of ice cream. By the 4th day I was eating whatever I wanted just slowly.

Try to get a protein shake or two in each day. My dentist always tells people to do high protein which is tough to do with soft food:-/
