How am I supposed to do this ????

I have a really shitty boyfriend who only thinks of himself . He proved it to me several times when all I do is give the relationship my all and try to help him as best as I can. 
How can I stop myself from caring or showing him that I care , how do I stop myself from calling him , how do I stop myself from answering his phone calls. 
I'm not happy anymore . I'm 5 months pregnant and he doesn't care how he treats me he hasn't even made an effort to come up with a name for our son or get anything I need for him.
I could really use your gals advice

You simply just have to. I was in an awful relationship and lived a lie for 5 years. Always convincing myself he was the one and we loved another blah blah. He cheated, he wouldn't have alot to do with our child. But yet I still stayed. I had open arms every. Single. Time. Cut to the chase. I told him I was done. And as he cried and balled and begged I just sat on the bed and was inside my head. Did I really say that? I'm doing this? It's too late now. I can't take it back. I can't lie to myself. And the first 48 hours were rough. But everyday after it just got easier without him. And I was happier even if it meant I would be alone. I wish you the best girl. Stay strong. Do what's best for your baby!

The only advice I can give you is to sit and talk with him.. What are your needs in a relationship? His needs? How do you want to be treated? What does he expect from you? What is his interest? Do you see a future with him? I think you can work this out if you love each other..

If he isn't showing any effort, leave. Simple. Yes, it's hard to just ignore him and do you but honestly, you can do it. You have to really want better for not only yourself but your child as well. I'm 9 months and left my daughter's father around 5.5/6 months. He didn't seem to care. Hasn't tried reaching out or anything so that gave me the answer of not needing him. If he wants to be apart of the baby's life, he'll come around. And if he doesn't, even better. I AM her mother. I AM the one giving her life. My child will have everything because of me. And that is the most rewarding thing ever.
