Fireworks causing braxton hicks?

For about an hour last night fireworks were going off outside my bedroom window. I kept getting braxton hicks every 2 minutes none stop. They were really uncomfortable. I do get braxton hicks but never that regular. Today I haven't had any. Might sound stupid but I was wondering if the loud bangs were causing the baby some kind of distress? And if it's okay to go to bonfires and watch fireworks when pregnant?
