Trying again after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage October 6th 2016 I had a D&C done the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks and I was about 10 weeks along never devolved a heart beat me and my boyfriend where devistated and want to try again I just got my first period today and was told I should wait one cycle but I'm scared that the lining won't be strong enough and I don't want another miscarriage I was also told to wait 3 cycles which would be healthier for me and the baby anyone know from experience ? I have read a lot on women who wait longer are more likely to have a healthy full term baby then the women who only waited one cycle anyone input would be very much appreciated
