Miscarriage at 9 weeks

Have had brown spotting for the past two weeks and then some red spotting and cramping on Tuesday night so booked a private scan for yesterday. This was my 1st pregnancy and we had already had two scans before this one so knew straight away there was no heartbeat. Going into hospital tomorrow to see what to do now but really want to pass everything naturally before then so that I don't need surgery. Has anyone done this and not needed a d & c? Did you get a choice? Can they give you pills to help you pass it? So sad but we are accepting that this was meant to be and we will try again. Would have been 9 weeks today. We are in the UK.
