inflamed cervix?

Anyone else have this issue in early pregnancy? I have been spotting in the mornings so my doctor did an exam and a pap. He said that my cervix was really irritated and inflamed around the edges. He said when he touched it to do the pap it was bleeding quite a bit. I am 10 weeks and the baby is healthy (it was moving its arms during my ultrasound today) ... I am just worried and am a worrywart naturally and the doctor didn't really ease my mind ... just wondering how many others experienced this
