Today I went into the doctor because I was late and my pregnancy tests showed up negative. She ran bloodwork test to see if I was pregnant or not. My blood test came back inconclusive. His is ever happened to you? If so, did you find out you were pregnant?! Ordered it mean something else?!

I work in a lab. If your hcg comes back between 5-20 it gets reported out as inconclusive with a statement that says pregnancy is possible, retest in 48-72 hours. If you really are pregnant, in 48-72 hours your hcg will have doubled enough to have a true positive (>20)

What did she say that meamt? I don't understand how it couldn't be clear... either HCG is there or not...
