seeking help

I live with a man and it's like we're  in a relationship but we not we're  just friends and even our families think we together but he made it clear he want to stay good friends but I want something more and him treating me like his girl isn't making it better we do everything like a couple but he's 12 years older too so could he just be taking advantage or am I just head over hills for him because he's something different
