Do you pay your college loans?

I used to but i stopped. I know its bad cause it can affect me. But dam why can't college be free. Its expensive. I hope it doesn't affect me. I know i cant be the only one? I dont think every single person in this world pays theyre college money back? Or do you?
Ughh i wish i would of made better decisions and investigated more about schools. I regret going to college. So much money and stressed.

You knew college was expensive when you decided to go and pay for it with loans. You're not required to go to college. You owe the money pay it back.

They can take everything you own if you don't pay them. They can take your car or your house or just straight up garnish your wages. Usually if you communicate with them they will work with you so it doesn't get to that point but if you stop paying altogether... there will be consequences

This is coming from a person that used to work with a student loan place.
You HAVE to pay back your loans, yes you should've done your research but people make mistakes. Yes college should be free, but at this time it isn't. If you decided not to pay you will definitely screw the hell out of your future. Your credit score will go to crap, you WILL go into collections, and you WILL get money taken out of your check without you even authorizing it and if you got your degree, they will eventually take that away from you. It sounds so scary but you need to realize that it's a really big deal.
Call your loan vendor and talk to them and they will work something out with you, wether it's lowering your payments or trying to stall them for a little bit. There are plans that go based on your income that you could qualify to pay $0 for a year( but interest accrues) there are loans forgiveness if you qualify for them (like working for public service 10+ years and being a teacher) don't make a mistake by deciding not to pay, not only does your loan get bigger but you ruin any chance of having a good credit and being able to love a comfortable life.

This last past year when I went to school $20,000 came out of my pocket! Mine I didn't get any financial help, I busted my ass working nights at the hospital, 7 nights bi-weekly, 12 hrs shifts, and going to school Monday - Thursday 8-6 so I'm proud to say lol I don't owe anything back to anyone just a pat on my back to myself cause I did it on my own lol very proud moment ☺️

College shouldn't be free. College is a choice. If college was free, we would have to pay for it through our taxes. And personally I don't think it's my responsibility to pay for other people's education. I worked the entire time I went to college and paid it off each month.

Consolidate. I only pay $89 a month. I'm going to be doing it for WAY longer than I wanted to, but this I could afford each month.

Unfortunately, Yes everyone has to pay them back! You can't file bankruptcy on them and even if you were to die they automatically go to your spouse or next of kin. Apply for forbearance, it's easy and you can do it multiple times. Set something up with your vendor.
